Well I've been having this crappy ass misfire for a long time now and now it seems to be getting worse. The misfire is a lot worse when the engine is cold. I have replaced the tps, cam sensor, and ecu to no avail. I'm leaning towards crank sensor but my ecu is throwing no codes for anything.

Also, is there a seal in the head behind the cam sensor? I'm not talking about the little o ring on the sensor, I'm talking about in the head itself. Is it another cam seal or something because oil is leaking out and onto the cam sensor which is another suspect to my misfire.

The misfire happens the most when cruising with light throttle and the intake temps can jump up to as much as 225! As soon as i give it more gas and some boost the temps drop back down to the 125 range. I'm stumped right now. Help me out guys.

the cam sensor has oil around it, every one I've taken off had oil in there, the seal in the sensor is to prevent it from going everywhere else. have you checked the simple stuff? plugs, wires and coil? is it considerably more noticable when cold? might be gunky injectors, try some BG44K I've had whatt felt like a nasty misfire when the car was cold, and ran that through on half a tank, went away for a good long while.

Plugs only have about 4000 miles on them, one step colder than stock. MSD coil pack and wires are fairly new. I'll pull the plugs and see what they look like.

That sounds like a fake intake temp for a intercooled setup. Try replacing the IAT sensor.

Well I figured out the temp prob. I disconnected the vacuum line going to the egr solenoid and some of the misfiring and went away and the temp prob went away completely.

I've had that shit happen before.

When i did my VC gasket, i had to remove the egr line clip on that driver side corner VC bolt. Ofcourse, i didn't put it back on. The intake/motor shifting pulled it loose and my car ended up getting all fucked up. The sparkplugs took a dump.... I replaced those and the wires went bad shortly after. Alls good now and the only reason the car is pissed at me now (cel) is because i hollowed my cat out. Lol.

I swear to god, i almost shit my pants when i went to take off from first and heard my car sputtering like hell. I was pulling into fast moving traffic too! I thought i had broken my car from the "drifting incident". Haha.

Edit: My cam angle sensor seal is leaking oil outside of the head too. 6 dollar gasket. Dont ask why i haven't fixed mine yet.
