Well I finaly got around to doing a compression test on the new engine and the numbers I got seemed a little high, but I did the test as soon as I pulled in the garage. So it was hot and I did it with the throttle plate open. The first test was (from 1-4)195,200,180,205. The second test was 190,190,185,195. I have 8.8 wiseco's and this seemed a little high to me. I don't know, what do you guys think?

I don't think it's possible to be too high (unless you've got crap in the cylinders). what kind of altitude are you at? that's close to what I get with stock pistons @ 6000+ feet above sea level, the lower altitude you are the higher the compression will be

Thats close to what I got last time I did a compression test on the old motor. I got 185 across the board on the old motor with 150000 on it. I am in the upstate of South Carolina btw.

sounds about right then, fresh low comp pistons and rings at that altitude vs old worn stuff
