I am in the middle of a N/A rebuild, I was wondering if the rich idle will screw up my new motor. We all know Crower 2's idle rich, is it rich enough to wash the rings?? I was going to buy the safc to fix the idle, but if I can avoid spending another $200 then I won't buy it. I just don't want to hurt my new motor. Lemme know. Thanks.

Didn't do it with mine! At the time 10.5 JE's, with P+P, AFX/ECU. In all honesty, you really gotta dump some fuel to wash out the rings. I raced and ran that engine for over 9k before I took out the bottom end to put in the 12.5. The 10.5 will be going in my Daily.

So, then the rich idle isn't as rich as everyone makes it sound? Do you think I'll be fine? I am going to be running 10.5:1 Wiseco's and AFX race ecu. I just don't want to even risk screwing up this motor, I need it to last me a while. Thanks for the help thus far. ~Jeffo

Crap, sorry, forgot to get back to this thread. Yeah she does run rich at idle, but it's really a combination of rich and a little lumpy cam that makes everyone say that it is so rich. Like I said, I broke mine in using the C2's, with no problem. IF you are really concerned, you can put the safc on her for peace of mind. IMO, I wouldn't, but I don't want you having some other problem with the rings and coming back and blaming me and the C2's emoji

Well, you are pulling the 13.9 1/4 time, so I trust you. Thanks for the help. I feel better now.

I have had no problems with the crower stage 2 cams either, but I put them on a broken in engine so I can't say if it will do anything to the rings.

Although I agree 100% and say you should be fine emoji
