I have finally found the time to install the eManage Ultimate in my Talon, and I have everything working, with the ignition still from the stock ECU of course
I have been searching and researching other eManage installs, but wanted another take on something... I was planning on running the MSD DIS 2 system, but I actually have an AEM Twin Fire CDI system sitting here (Purchased it for use on an FSAE car, but never got reimbursed since someone fried the AEM EMS so didn't use it...)
Since I have it already here, I would like to use it rather than be out the cash/have to spend more. I need to look into the triggers on the AEM system, but I should theoretically be capable to run the AEM system from the eManage Ultimate, correct? The AEM unit can be configured for wasted spark ignition (and I have done so in the past on CBR engines) so wiring the correct output from the eManage to the input trigger on the AEM Twin Fire should allow me to control the singal from the eManage.
I know I'd have to use the Tach Adapator to eliminate any CEL as well.
Just looking for a sanity check here and any thing in particular to keep an eye out for. I'd appreciate any help, thoughts, etc. Thanks!
