Well tonight I was installing my pistons and I bent one of the oil scraper rings (top one of the 2). My old rings were in decent condition so I re-used just ONE (the best) scraper ring to replace that one. think I'm gunna have any major issues? I made sure the ring was facing the same way as previously installed etc. It'll take me 3 days to get another frigin ring set if not. Thanks in advance!


Edit: Also when I put my rod caps on I torqued them to 20 ft lbs then I proceeded to tighten 1/4 turn but it seemed like I was overtorqing them for some reason and I only went 1/8th turn to each. I'm very familiar with torque wrenches and the ammount of force that was needed was pretty immense for another 1/4 turn. What gives?

WIth the rings, you're probably fine. I wouldn't worry too terribly much about it as long as the ring gap checks out.

With the rod bolts, as long as you've got sufficient torque and the bottom end still turns, call it good.
