ok..from what you guys are saying the udp seems lke a great upgrade and i would like to get one..but...i was wondering whether or not that would be a good idea since my stereo system already dims my headlights...would the UDP cause more of this or am i just dumb??
does anyone have a UDP with a big system??

Well i have about 2700 watts of amps in my car, and i have the UDP. I do notice some dimming only when i am at idle, like at a stop light, and with the headlights on(of course). I tap the gas a little, and it brightens up a bit. I usually won't be slammin at idle like this, and if i do, then i will keep up my rpms a little. I aslo have a new alternator, and a yellow top deep cycle audio battery. The deep cycle audio battery will help a lot also with the dimming lights, and maybe a capacitor too. I guess you just have to keep in mind that your alternator is turning about 30% slower with the UDP on, so i'm just careful when i'm at idle. Any other rpm, and everything is totally fine...It also will prob wear out your alternator a bit quicker since its trying to put out more amps at a lower rpm, but not drastically anyway...
