#104843, "HELP!!!! wierd gas pump problem (kinda long)"

ok i have a 98" w/ a built motor .020 over je pistons eagal rods on 15 psi ect:
for the fuel i have a walbro 255lph and a vortech SFMU and ford green top injectors.....................................so now the problem...(and yes i have tried to search and still nothing)
this just started two days ago.

i was out at a buddys house then i drove home fine the next morning i got up and tried to start the car up but it would not start this is were the problem gets wierd.

The fuel pump primes ALOT longer then usuall w/ key on and the car wont start it will crank but no start. now if i go and disconect the fuel relay and then try to start it, will fire up w/ the built up pressure it has in the lines then as i try to plug the fuel relay back in to turn the pump back on the cars starts to idle like shit if i go to give it gas on the pedal it fall on its face and just dies! some times it even stays running but like shit as well.
i have already replaced the fuel pump relay same problem

last night i diconected the negative on the battery for a bit and the plugged it back in and WALLA!!! the pump was priming just right so i drove the car to work today and sure enough as i went out for lunch the car died on me and i had to pull the relay out then start the car and put the relay back in lucky me it even drove enough to make it back to work.

well i figuered since the night befor i disconected the battery for awhile that it would do the trick again and make the pump prime right again.....WRONG!!! i was stuck at work for a half an hour in the fuken hot ass SUN (az).

i pulled the hose above the TB to make the car vaccume leak so i could get a high enough(ghetto) idle so the car would not die on me and it worked i was able to make it home

well as i got home i turned the car off and then just for shits i tried to turn the car right back on and it was working just fine the pump was priming just fine. i even plugged the hose on top of the TB back on and it was working just fine.

well i let it sit for a couple hrs and came back out to turn it on and then same fuken problem is happing all over again.

the difference in pump whine gose sumtin like dis

w/key on postion

priming right:
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV"click"
then run

priming longer then it should my problem:
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV"click"
no run just turning

i have no gas leaks anywere i checked.i have even messed w/ the fuel pressure and still nada

im sure someone has ran into this problem befor HELP!!!

how effin!! wierd the car starts w/ the pump relay disconected cuz the pump is not choking it w/ gas so how to get the pump to stop priming it that long is the question i guess?

any help would be greatly appreciated

OH! and i did throw a code but was not able to read it out cuz i diconected the battery and cleared it and all the way home it did not even come back not even a vacume leak was detected cuz no codes popped up.

I had similar symptoms that you are describing. My Walbro pump was failing, so I changed it out and I haven't had a problem since.
