So i am finishing up my turbo rebuild and am having serious electrical issues. My batteery is good, and when i turned my key to the on position it powered up for about 30 seconds, and then everything died. so i had the battery tested, and it is at 12.4 volts. the ground is good. but when i turn the key to on it does nothing. My headlights and dash lights work perfectly. I have the megasquirt for fuel and a dis-2 for ignition....any suggestions???

Thanks and sorry for the length.

Were you running MS prior to this rebuild or is this a recent development? If you've never had the car running on MS or the DIS before, I'd seriously consider re-checking your work on those harnesses.

If you've got something crossed down the line with the MS, it could be affecting the signal to/from one of the sensors the ECU uses to determine whether to keep the engine running or activate the ASD and shut it all down.

Just a thought.

So it was the msd that was stopping the ignition. now the car will crank but it won't turn over. It is continually blowing the underhood fuse labeled ENGINE. What engine components are tied in with the engine fuse???

Thanks again.
