I need to order some new piston rings. The Total Seal rings the previous owner installed never set well. I want to get some JE Piston Rings. Heres the setup:

JE Pistons 8.6:1 (Heard thats the same as 8.8:1)
Eagle Long Rods
.040 Over bore
*EDIT*
420a Engine (forgot to throw that bit in)
Here are the ring measurments I got from the old owner

Top = .060
2nd = .060
Bottom = .119

I don't know the rod lenghts off the top of my head. If you need to know something else let me know. I went to Summit today and was just completly confused on what to order, just wanted some help. Thanks.

Well I just was looking on summit and they dont carry JE rings for the 420s, but http://www.420a.cimotorsports.net/ concept illusions dose modern performance, http://www.modernperformance.com/dcx/oneclipse.shtml all you need to do is make sure you get rings for .040 over bore.

While modernperformance is a little limited on our stuff, I'm pretty happy with their service and prices. I just received my JE's from them and I'm confident that they won't steer you wrong.

As stated previously, you will need .040 JE rings.

Let me know if you still have trouble. I bought some 40 over je rings a couple of weeks ago from JE and have bought some from Howell automotive. They both will take 2 weeks to deliver so regardless where you order them from, it will take 2 weeks. It takes JE a week to get them to howell or any performance shop and then they ship them immediately to your address. I have the part number at home, i will be home at 830pm, so let me know if you need a part number for those rings since i use the same ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need something extra to go with the long rod kit due to the wrist pin being practically on the oil ring?

I imagine if you've still got the other rings, you could re-use that special ring.
