I figured maybe this would be a good place to ask this question. I have a 97 Avenger and I know that the eclipse and venge share a lot of the same parts but i don't know if the shifter for the eclipse will fit the veng's concole or tranny. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd guess no... but you really should call B&M. Ask for an application engineeer. They should be able to help you.

"application engineer" you know damn well it's some college kid tryin to pay his way through. it should fit your interior is exactly the same as ours and your engine and tranny are the same assuming you have the 4 banger so go for it and if it doesn't fit that's a damn good reason to take it back

The problem is that the center consoles are not the same. (That's why I'm swapping in an Eclipse console cause they are sloped and look a lot cooler) Some of the short shifters rub the console in 5th I think.

should i use an 97 eclipse console since i have an 97 avenger. and is it direct bolt in?

It is if you have ALL the pieces. Brackets, sides, ect...

ooops, well that sucks you need all sortsa brackets and shizizm. guet glenn to cut you a stock one down. that could work.
