ok if i just try to start my car by turning the key it dosent do enything, but if i sit there and pump the gas a buch, while i am turning it over it will start up after a bit!
i have replaced the fuel filter, could it be the pump or the injectors? that would be the next best place to start right?

how can you tell if your pump is going out?
also can you clean injectors out or are they just junk when they get pluged up?

once started does it idle and run fine? And do you smell gas after cranking for a while and it not starting?

You need four things for combustion - air, fuel, compression, and spark. Having to pump the gas a bit to start it makes me think about fuel issues, but it could be spark.

How does the car run once you get it running? Does it idle okay? What kind of mileage are you getting on a full tank of gas?

It could be as simple as tired spark plugs or front O2 sensor. It could be a clogged fuel filter or maybe even bad gas. We need a bit more info from you before we can be much more help than this.

ok well let me start the list: new front o2 sensor, new fuel filter, new plugs, new wires,and a new stock coil.
ya it runs fine when started, every once and a while the rpm's will drop and it will want to stall out,
no i dont smell gas.i have never replaced the injectors and i know the kid befor me didnt ither.

i did an EGR block off a couple of weekends ago, could this have something to do with it?

check timing and do a compression test.
