So I ordered a set of the Fidanza CV axles from www.ultrarev.com last week as a beefier replacement for the stockers I have on my car. For whatever reason, they sent me a pair of driveshaftshop.com level 0 axles. I'm a little bit irked since this wasn't what I ordered. My question is are they about the same strength/price or should I call ultrarev and raise hell tomorrow? I haven't found anything here pertaining to the level 0 axles. Thanks.

I have the Fidanza axles and they are junk. I had a torn boot within 30 days of installation. Send em back, get your money back or just keep the DSS axles.

Well if I keep the DSS axles are they worth the same money that I paid? That's my biggest concern. I don't want to have shelled out this kind of cash for an axle that is $100 less than the Fidanzas.

Have you called or e-mailed DSS yet? I bought a set of their axles from a member on here once and contacted them about the warrenty. They are great guy's there and will help you out. I would suspect that the level 0 would prolly be similar to a stock replacement. Judging by the feedback from mike the fidanza's might be junk, but if the level zero is a stock replacement then it's not what you are looking for either. I would call them and talk to them and then call your vendor back and bitch. Tell them you want an appropriate replacement for the fidanza's. The fidanza's say they hold 300hp the level 2 axles on DSS are 400hp. I would call them and see what the zero's are rated. If it's less than 300hp then call the vendor and tell them you need at least level 2's (unless they have a level 1 that does 300hp, and if they do I would take those and run)to be made whole...
Edit just found this on their site, they do not list a level 0 for our car on the part page. but here is mention of it in the warrenty area...
1. What is the warranty for the performance axles: The new level 0 have no Warranty against breakage level 2 axles have a 6 month warranty the level 2.9, 3, 3.9, 4, 5, and 5.9 have 1 year. Warranty covers broken or worn part for the term. Boots are not covered under the warranty.
Customer will pay shipping to the factory and DSS will pay shipping back (ground only) out of the country sales, shipping both ways will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

So I called ultrarev about the axles. They said they would swap them out with no problems and apologized for the mistake. I called DSS about the level 0 axles as well and DSS said that they were comparable to the Fidanzas and would be fine for hard street driving and autocross. So after talking with Dino in chat I think I'll just keep the DSS units.

I'll post a picture of them later on today if I can find my digicam. I know for a fact the part numbers are for level 0 axles.

stage 0 are just OEM replacements that maybe be slightly stronger than stock. DSS stage 3 ftw
