#103653, "head?"

hey whats up dudes, first off i have searched some and couldnt really find an answer, i am not asking for u guys to answer me, i just want u guys to point me in the right direction, what i have been looking for is what type of things do u change when buiding the head, example: valves, srings, camshafts. could amy of u guys post a link to an article that has all this information, i have seen those articles that are a bunch of info, but i cant find them, the only thing that pops up is posts and answers, if it helps i already have everything for the bottom end, but i dont know what to do with the head, do i just switch cams, and get a valve job? thats the type of article im looking for. i am planning on running a 20g, and would like to see atleast 315whp, but my real goal is to break the 400whp line, i know its gonna take time and tunning and money and a shitload of reading, but i have all the time in the world to learn.

p.s. this may be off topic: i am going to the track next month, my car is completely stock, except for the 2.5" catback exaust. what i would like to know what is an average time for our cars at the track? the last time i went was when i had got my car for the first time, i have only driven it around for around a month, my best time was 18.056 or something like that. was that time good? i think i can get it into the 17's but is that possible on a stock car?

For what it's worth, I ALWAYS get stainless valves if I have to buy valves for a rebuild. Just good procedure, IMO
