Well guys here it is finally after months and months of talking about it. We finally got a prototype set on our shop car and were going to be doing some real world testing not to mention some dyno pulls to see how these will hold up. These will be machined with a nicer design and be available in different color options. Thought we would give you a sneek peek to see what your thoughts were on them! Enjoy

We would like to have them ready for the end of this month. We are sending 5 sets to selected customers for real world testing. Once they check back in ok were going full speed on production.

I think he doesn't quite get the idea of how they work.
basically redline the larger your drive pulley in relation to the crank pulley, the slower your accessories are going to spin thereby creating less parasitic drag on your motor, aka more freed up horsepower, and also side benefits like your power steering gets a bit stiffer emoji it's similar to an underdrive pulley on your crank, make the crank pulley smaller and you spin the accessories slower, simple rotating ratios

I'd really be interested in the powersteering pulley, I drove my friends gs recently with the unorthodox underdrive and his steering felt a bit tighter, I have yet to put mine on, but i like very stiff steering emoji

I'm going to be frank,

I think it looks stupid in the engine bay, especially the single nut holding it on. And secondly, for what? emoji

1 hp?

or 4?

How much will something like this cost?

Are you saying this mod replaces an underdrive pully or should/can be combined with and underdrive.

Is it going to be dyno tested? (i see you did say this emoji)

Well that's all I have to say about that.

I just took out the Ac and the power steering, I agree with the above comment it's over rated....Plus is helps build muscle LOL

I don't drive her in crazy hot weather any how, so screw the AC and the Ps Ah hell who needs that, I drove classics my whole life growing up and still do. I was a custom classic car fabricator for years.

I agree as well. I think it would be a complete waste of money for the minimal gain you would see, plus that pulley just looks rediculous.

It might be worthwhile to simply make replacement pullies which are anodized for the show cars. Perhaps lighten them a little bit with some additional holes through the center (if they will not lose integrity) and then market them as a look pretty mod...

For those of us too stupid to read the physics lab reports a google of those tearms brings up DJ help a brother out, why do you run one? Do you run a UDP on your car? I would assume not because I nderstand that a UDP in conjunction with a larger acc. pulley will result in addtional underdrive. I like the UDP for it's ease of removal/install over the stocker anyhow.. emoji

I'd definitely get one if it was cut like the centers of our cam gears are, it would definitely cut some rotating mass. Any bit helps.

Now if I can only find the Unorthodox UDP that's not on backorder.

Hey, I have an idea.

Let's beat the crap out of anyone who is trying to make items for the NT crowd. That way they will think twice about it the next time we ask for something.

Oh dont worry were going to cut some holes in those pulley sets once they are finished up being tested and whatnot, didnt think anyone would have such negetive feedback for a part that doesnt exist yet, but either way they should be rolling of the line for sale sometime by the end of this month, anything looks better then the stock power steering pulley if you ask me..

You have any idea how much it will underdrive the accessories? Cause the UDP is already 30ish%, how much will they be decreased by this?

And if I just wanted the PS pulley, would I have to buy the whole set, or could I buy it separate?

The pulleys are 20% larger and were designed with the use of the stock crank pulley seeing that it retains the harmoonic dampner, This would be a addition for those of you not looking to remove your stock crank pulley. Im not sure about selling them individually but i think it will be a posibility depending on the demand we get on them

So what you are saying, is that if we have a UDP, we shouldn't have these too? Will it underdrive the accessories too much?

I would assume so, not sure yet as we havent tested the alternator output with the use of both our alternator pulley and a underdrive crank pulley, same with the ps pulley

Replacement aluminum anodized p/s and a/c pullys would sell way better in my opinion....
