#102914, "Good price for p&p or not?"

Hey guys i took my intake manifold to my local machine shop and asked them how much they would charge to p&p my intake mani and he told me $80. I just wanted to know if this is a reasonable price. I know this guys does a good job too because ive asked several people in my area and hes been around for a while. I also noticed that the gasket holes arent much bigger than the intake holes. Since im getting it gasket matched shouldnt the gasket holes be reasonably bigger? Im using the felpro.

I personally don't know about pricing, but I know if you were to just polish the outside of your intake manifold it would definetly take you at least 5 hours. I've spent at least that on mine and I'm not done yet. Is he going to be doing both upper and lower intake manifold?

Porting seems to be an art you definetly want to have someone who knows what they're doing do it for you instead of trying it on your own. I would pay the $80 if I wanted it done.

I have a simi ported one and I did the work that was my first attempt at port and polishing and it looks good, knife-edged down the injector hums, smoothed out runners, matched opening to 55mm, now I have no use for it! it might be up for sale here soon!
