Holy suck me! After 4 months of work, it's alive and kicking! I never thought I would hear the sound of the apexi N-1 purrrring again!

4 months total, 3 months waiting on parts from Howell, 2 weeks at the machine shop, now she fired right up without any leaks so far, no weird noises and a perfect idle! No timing problems. The only glitch so far is the accesories belt keeps slipping towards the edge, so I haven't actually driven it yet, but it's fired up twice now and been running for about 20 seconds or so each time.

This is definetly progress! You can see some pics of the motor on my myspace page or my webshots page of the whole rebuild. I haven't updated the recent 30 pics or so yet of putting the motor back in, but the pull is all there.

I'm looking into why the belt is slipping right now. It sucks, we're getting winter weather again over here so I don't thinnk I want to drive it tonight anyways!

Congrats man.

The belt is slipping because the accessory pulley isn't installed correctly, or the PS pump or tensioner is out of alighment.

I just pulled the damn belt off for now. I don't wanna waist time fiuring that out at the current. Now I have it running just fine, but my oil light is on. I'm not sure why it's on. The car has plenty of oil in it and it's not leaking anywhere. My vacuum gauge is also at about 15 which seams a little low to me. the car sounds fine it doesn't seem like it's running rough as if the timing was off. Maybe I have a leak on my manifold somewhere. I can't get my oil pressure gauge plugged back in cause it's at a really funny angle, so I have no idea if my engine is getting oil right now. I figure it would have blown up by now if it wasn't.

Well just remember that the oil dummy light is based on pressure and not level. So you need to get your oil pressure guage set back up to see what it is doing. Now if the aftermarket oil press. sensor is unplugged is the stock one disconnected also? If so that explains your light...
