OKAY what the hell... i have a 99 eclipse STOCK what are some things to check if ur car seems like it hits fuel cut off at 4k? i got another ecu.... didnt fix the problem. When the car is cold it revs all the way to 6k but when its warm it doesnt idle right it will turn off as well and will NOT rev over 4k WHAT THE HELL?!?!? If anyone knows anything about the eclipses. 95-98 they have a return line for fuel and a pump line...ok normal, but on a 99 eclipse it has just a pump line.I got another engine because the 99 eclipse engine threw a rod, i picked up a 95 engine I did the ecu and wireharness change over and since the intake manifold was set up for a return line and pump line what they did was T into the pump line and make a return line....THEY SAID THATS NOT THE PROBLEM? ....isnt that the damn problem the pump doesnt have enough pressure to supply the right amount of fuel and, they messed with the evap system..... SOOOOO BASICALLY, after the change over what will cause the car to hit fuel cut off at 4k? and not idle correctly?.....5 years later

On late 2g's, the FPR (and return line) is back near the tank. You can see it, in front of your passenger rear tire, under the car. You may be leaning out with an extra fpr/return, since i doubt they removed the stock one.. Put a fuel pressure guage on and read it. Chances are you just need to remove that extra return crap you have.

90% of the time, it's MAP related. Once it warms up, it starts paying attention to the sensors, and used the MAP for fuel trims above 4k. If the MAP sensor's dead, it won't rev above that.
