#101211, "running really rich, now with a CEL"

well the other day, the CEL came on, and i was about to flip cause i figured it was for the EGR valve, or the IAT which i had replaced, but i was wrong, it is code 52, o2 sensor determines a rich condition. now i knew it was running rich because it always seems sluggish, and wants to stall all the time, but ive never gotten a code, and i just reset the battery like a week and a half ago, and all i did was redo timing, put the cam gears back on, replace EGR valve and IAT sensor, so why all of a sudden would i get a code?

it was weird though, because right before it happened, i adjusted the cams a little to try and get the timing evened out since the head is milled, and i have crower 2's, so even at TDC, it would need to be retarded a little to be right, so it seemed everyone else was doing -2 on both, so thats what i did, and it seemed to be running a tad bit better, but right after i did that, not a minute after is when the code came on... any coincedence? also had autozone scan it, i forget the P number, but it was bank 1 detects a rich condition, so any ideas anyone?

Lack of vacuum from the cams will make it run rich.

well i decided to try and advance the cams to see if it made any difference, and it still runs the same, kinda rough, sounds like it wants to stall sometimes at warm idle. checked vacuum, was at 12 which is kinda low, but i dont know if thats normal or not with these cams. i just reset the battery, so we will see if anything changes in a week...
