#101126, "Head Cleaning and preparing block"

Hey Guys..

I got a new/used short block and it looks great. Any recommendations on cleaning her out? It wasn't covered and I'm worried about the oil passages.

I also pulled my head after my last motor locked up at the crank by a spun bearing. Everything looks fine minus some scoring on one of the cams. I did a search and found some people using sand paper to clear the head for the mls? Any other recommendations on preping the head for the mls?

TIA
