Hello everyone, a while back I bought a used throttle body and today I finally got around to boring it out. I bored it to 52mm on a metal lathe so that I could use the stock butterfly plate. I overbored about 1/32 of an inch and it just wouldn't seat properly with that 1/32 missing. I installed anyway hoping it would not make much of a difference(shows how much I know about cars). Anyway, the engine starting sputtering so I admitted defeat and decided to put my stock TB back on. Now at startup the idle surges to about 3500 rpm and then falls back to about 1600 rpm and it seems to then stay there (between 1600-2000 rpm). I searched and read that it could possibly be a vacum leak or my throttle cable needs adjusting. My problem is I don't know how to check for a vacum leak or adjust a throttle cable properly. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could inform me on how to perform these checks or if anyone thinks it is something else. Thanks in advance, and I'm sorry for the long post. Ryan
