Hey guys, I have 2 questions that I need some assistance with.

1)My motor is 90% rebuilt. I was putting on the timing belt today and when I went to adjust the timing marks I heard some air coming into the motor and it began to resist a little. I assumed it was just building compression which was a good sign but then all of a sudden the it got easier to turn when cylinder 1 and 4 were at BDC. When Cylinder 1 and 4 reached TDC again, they cycle started over. I think it's normal but I wanted more confirmation. what do you guys think?

2) I was putting all the plugs on the block and I could not find the right size plug for thie back of the block. Can anyone help me? It is the one to the left of the plug with the green mark.

Thanks to Driggs for helping me out with this. This was actually the problem.

Stranger things have happened. I wouldn't be too worried about it so long as things turn smoothly and you're not experiencing any ginding or clicking when you turn it over by hand.

It could also be easier to turn because the crank is able to turn a greater number of degrees compared to how far it is moving the pistons. The part of the crank that the rod is attatched to is moving mostly horizontally therefore receiving alot less resistance from the pistons, since its not moving them as much as when the part of the crank that the rod is attatchedto is moving upward/downward. Hope that makes.

This is also most likly why 4bangers tend to run less smoothly than your average v8.

I found the size for that oil galley plug. Its M10-1.0 incase anyone needs this in the future
