Hey guys, this is my friend's car which is making a crazy noise and it started one day while he was driving. I'm thinking it's a spun bearing, but I've never personally heard it, only going on what you guys have said and described. Here's a link to the site he has a video of his motor, have fun!

Ya, he's looking for a new motor to rebuild now. What doesn't seem to make sense is that it's not that noticeable (if any) at idle, then when he revs it up you hear it. When I had a bent rod, you could hear it all the time.

thats exactly what happened to my last engine. ended up blowing the damn thing on the way back home from the mechanic. unless u want pistons tearing through ur block and oilpan, i suggest u dont drive it at all. don't even turn it on..

Definately a rod. Do Not Drive it any more than absolutely necessary. If you are lucky you can get a crank kit (try at advance auto). But before spending the money on that make sure to measure the rod journal to be sure it's not out of round. If it is not round any more then there's no point unless you plan on replacing the rod as well. you should be able to get everything you need from www.partsdinosaur.com Bruce is good people to deal with with great customer service and great prices and ship time. Expect to have all your parts in less than a week.
