well guys its crunch time and im debating about headwork ... im getting my block blueprinted and assembled ... im getting. JE 8.8:1 Comp pistons ... Eagle rods... Cometic Head gasket.. Arp head studs and main bolts ... prothane motor mount kit ... and main and journal Bearings for the crank ... now my question is that sooner or later i will go turbo... and i was wondering if i should throw down and spend the money on headwork and stuff...

i found a shop who would give me a competition job which includes pretty much everything you can do to the head for $675 but i would have to buy oversized valves and the cams and stuff ... is it worth it or would i be safe with a rebuilt bottom end with a stock head with around 2000 miles on it ??? i hope to hit between 350 and 400 WHP... am i shooting too far ???

if the headwork is worth it what should i replace since im already doing all this work... and it would be great if you guys could reccomend brands because ive seen a few and some of them i never heard of... (CAMS, Retainers, Valves, Followers, Rockers, Bearings, ...)

thanks for the help and ill keep you updated on my setup

or should i just save my money and go turbo and then later get the headwork

hahn racecraft has been running high tens in the quarter with a stock head and stock cams. your money is better spent on turbo upgrades than head upgrades.

Hahn only runs 10's boosted! I am @14.9 116 mph na untuned with heavy spin!!! I have a Br Audio and Performance ported and polished head, decked .060" with 3mm/ 2mm oversized sodium filled valves (intake/exhaust)....$675 is a lil pricey but you will not regret the headwork... My car should have another na stroker setup by spring pushing 800+ whp... i hope good luck any questions just ask!
