MTX = manual transmission.
For the 97, I have very high praise for the AF/X ECU. It is basically the only effective "BOLT ON" tuning tool for our cars. While the MSnS (not to forget the AMS standalone, also) has much more capabilities and applications (you can use that on any year) it is not just plug and play.
The S-AFC will only be able to pull fuel out (which is actually good for our cars because they run rich from the factory), that will net you very little extra hp.
