Today my car started idling like it has some mean cams and then on the way home the engine was all over the place rpm wise, sometimes almost died, sometimes idled at 3000, coughed on the highway, weird shit.
So at home I start checking everything and what do I discover...
the throttle body bolts were loose to the point I could turn them by hand... took it out, cleaned it a bit, put some rtv, tightened everything and voilla, perfect engine.
how the hell does this happen, I had the tb out like 8 months ago and tightened everything properly. 1993 Eagle Talon TSI AWD: balance shafts, cruise & AC removed; 16psi, Dejon intake & UICP, ported 14b, EVOIII mani, ported 2G O2 housing, 2.5" Buschur dp to 3" Thermal exhaust, datalogger, front strut brace, prothane motor mounts
