#100370, "Accel 310's with no turbo?"

Just a quick question, will accel 310cc injectors work fine on a non turbo 420a? Say you were planning on going turbo and you wanted to upgrade the fuel system before everything else, would the car be fine for like a year with the bigger injectors? Would the computer be able to get them to work without being rich all the time? Thanks for any help.

AHhhh, because they are already in the car and there are no stockers left to put in and the car needs to be driven. It's not my car, it's my buddies, is it okay to drive with the 310's??? Lemme know. Thanks.

It will run very rich if you run the stock fuel pressure. The ECU can not control the injectors enough to lean it out. You might be able to get by if you can lower the fuel pressure to somewhere around 18 psi.

How can I lower the fuel pressure if I have the stock FPR??? Can I use a different regulator that's pretty cheap? I have crower 2 cams and I can't lower the fuel pressure off of vacuum, I only pull 9inhg with them. Any ideas??

You can run those injectors, you just need to remove/disable the stock fuel pressure regulator, then get an adjustable regulator to lower your base fuel pressure. The SFMU can do this, and you would want to get this regulator if that is the desired fuel setup you want to go with when boosted. If you are going a Megasquirt, then an anjustable 1:1 regulator will be fine for that setup. 310 injectors want around 20-22 psi at full idle vac.
