If anyone knows of a place to find one or has a block please let me know. I have been looking forever. I check car-parts.com and there are never any within driving rang from my house.

I had the same prob. even the junk yard star cars I found had cracked blocks, so I just ended up buying a new motor from:

https://www.woodfins.com/index.ASP

I dont know how much you can spend but take a look anyways.

BTW where are you at? I have my original motor still in the car and may sell it once I get what I need off it. What would you pay for the block?

Happy Cruisin

ardperformance.com has a bunch of different JDM engines and I seem to remember them having decent prices. The only problem is they sell whole engines along with the transmissions.

Dean.

Check all the local junkyards you can.. the shortblock from a neon is identical to ours (but don't quote me on that)

I've got a motor... spun rod bearing, but everything else is good. Email me at csquier@directvinternet.com if you're interested. If you only need the block, anyone else want the head or anything else?

Clint

Its fully dissasembled. It also had a spun bearing and broken rod that tried to go through the side of the block but didnt crack the block. The "knock" is right by the edge of the block where the bedplate bolts to, so the area is still strong.

I got the bedplate, block, and crank sitting in my garage and i'm trying to get rid of it. If you want it, i'll sell it for really cheap. The cylinders need boring as well.

email me at kiku@asog.net if you are interested.

Dood, I am trying to get some shipping quotes. I am BennettWW9@cs.com, and I had e-mailed you earlier. I would really like the entire motor if it can be done.
Thanks,
