First off, no the head isn't connected to the motor mounts. Second the alternater is in the back left. The only mount you have to take out is the passenger side one to get all the belts off the timing side.

Make sure you have all the head studs out as well. You probably missed a connection coming from the harness somewhere is what it sounds like if your saying its the back right.

I would start there and definately wait till you have a good amount of light!

There's a bracket on the back of the block that goes from the lower plenum (of the intake) to the block. They're right above the knock sensor, in the middle of the block, next to the alternator.

It's easy to get to these from under the car.

I know this is a gag picture, but you can see one of them towards the right side of this picture. Dark line going upwards from the "R" in "under."

There ya go. The two little brackets straddle that sensor. You can see each bracket on either side of the pic. One of the brackets is attached to the #2 runner of the intake, the other bracket is attached to the #4 runner.

There are a couple little 8mm bolts holding the rear timing belt cover to the head. You need to remove the cam gears to see them IIRC.

Also, I'm pretty sure the power steering bracket bolts into the head.
