i started taking off the head on my car today. im keeping the intake mani. attached but i have a slight problem, got everything undone except the motor mount i havnt had muched day light to look more cause i lost light. i guess my question is, is the head attached to the motor mount or not it seems to start to come up fine i seem like im stuck in the back right. appears maybe to be something with the alternator any help would be appreciated.

First off, no the head isn't connected to the motor mounts. Second the alternater is in the back left. The only mount you have to take out is the passenger side one to get all the belts off the timing side.
Make sure you have all the head studs out as well. You probably missed a connection coming from the harness somewhere is what it sounds like if your saying its the back right.
I would start there and definately wait till you have a good amount of light!

There's a bracket on the back of the block that goes from the lower plenum (of the intake) to the block. They're right above the knock sensor, in the middle of the block, next to the alternator.
It's easy to get to these from under the car.

There ya go. The two little brackets straddle that sensor. You can see each bracket on either side of the pic. One of the brackets is attached to the #2 runner of the intake, the other bracket is attached to the #4 runner.

do you have to take out all the head studs cause i left em in it dont seem like they are the problem i got the two brackets in the back now it seems like its where the top timing belt tensenor is im going back out to fuck with it so ill check back later maybe take some pics

ok i got it no it was the plastic caseing of the timing cover the little spinning tensenor goes threw so i cut the timing cover and pulled the sucker right off thanks for all your guys's help ohhh it was also one of the back bolts on that bracket from down under. i got everything off now and im going to post some pics of my blown motor ive never seen any thing like it lol
