I was looking at the back of the block, and noticed, unlike the 420a block, theres no place really for me to grab feed oil for the turbo. My ? is what are others doing. I would perfer not to run a sandwich adapter. thx guys

What year block are you using? The 2.4 has a 3/8 NPT port on the back of the block just as the 420a does for the stock pressure switch. I currently run my turbo feed and oil pressure gauge off that port. Depending on what year it is, it may be closer to the bellhousing, or near the water jacket NPT fitting.

See that vein on the back of the block? That is the primary oil galley. Does not matter where on that vein you tap from. The plug you are speaking of is likely the water jacket plug, not an oil galley.

Post a picture of the back of the block. I will draw an arrow for you heh.

Here is a pic of the back of my block.

I don't have the red one circled, but the blue.

It just depends on the generation of EDZ block. Around 2001 the oil pressure sensor location was relocated closer to the bellhousing. 1st gen EDZ blocks will have the location shown in my photo & yours Psycho.

Thanks for throwing up your pic.

That is weird... never saw an application with a plugged oil port. Did you pull it from a junkyard that way?

You are correct, that is definitely the source for the oil and the other near the freeze plug is the water jacket.

This should probably be added to the 2.4 tech in the wiki. I didn't know where I was getting oil from either. Very helpful!
