Yep, thats right! I'm going to make a movie this year! Not some crappy 10 minutes of video here! So take your video camras, and even picture cameras, and give me all of your footage! I really want to do something very cool this year, and will plan on making it onto DVD's for 2gnt members. I will prob charge a small amount for it, and half of the procedes will go directly to help fund 2gnt.(the rest to cover the IMMENSE time to do this, and also the actual DVD's). I won't have enough bandwidth to host the video(will be rather large), but if someone can do it, that may work also. So weather you get footage of a caravan, partying it up in the hotel rooms, and the actual races, cars, and whatnot, send it to me! You can even give it to me at the end of the SO if you wish. This is going to be cool emoji You may even get a one on one interview! I have some pretty sweet ideas in my head haha..should be interesting.

good, it is about time some stepped up to the task of making a video. much props to you, i dont have the equipment to do so. btw, where is last years video.... emoji at least this time, the person that is making it cant run off with the footage because he has disowned his 2gnt......i am extremely upset at the fiasco surrounding the 2003 video. i dont even think teamnabr has theres out yet. blah, what slowpokes.

Yeah I was really hoping for a video from last year. I am sure that Matt will come through on this one tho. Even tho I cant contribute to the footage itself, I will definitely contribute some money for a copy or two when this years video is made.

Ughh Matt ... you have no idea what you have just gotten yourself into ... my little 30 minute short from last year took a good day to make and I only had 2 hours of uneditted footage. Also, I had to leave my computer on a few nights to encode and decode video from various formats. Anyways, I've gotten pretty good at this stuff as of late so if you need a hand I can help out if necessary.

Haha yeah, i have been doing some video work on the computer for some time now, and it def does take lots of time to do. Hopfully my newly built comp will do it a bit faster emoji

Several people have already offered to contribute to the task, who live fairly close to me, so it should be one bad assss video! I expect it to take a good month or two for a final product. Its a lot of time and effort, but it will be worth the wait. I'm already geeked!! haha

I work in television. Do you have any concept what this will really take to make it good? I have contemplated it at well, but with the time and money involved I just can't devote myself to it.

If you need pointers or would like small portions edited let me know. My best work is with heavy metal, hot chicks, and fire....so it is applicable here emoji

Yeah, I dont plan on doing this in a week or two. It will prob take a few months of work to get it where I want it. I really don't mind though, keeps me busy, and I really like doing video work. The outcome should be well worth the effort, and in the meantime, helping support 2gnt.

Sure, that would be cool. I'm pretty sure I can import something like that to the authoring software..I'll be taking any kind of video on any kind of media. I'll take care of all the format conversions and the like. I also want still pictures. I'd really like to get a picture of every single 2gnt'er that goes, preferably by their car if they bring it, and hopefully a final whole group photo of all 2gnt'ers...

I have a box dedicated to video editing and dupein dvd's. I have a 100 spindle around here with full size dvd cases, like the ones actual dvd movies come in. Here at work we have a laser CD printer, but you have to use the printable DVD's which I think we have. So we will be able to pack it up really nice too.

I think the best way to do this is EVERYONE bring a video cam, the more footage the better. It's imposible for 2 or 3 cams to record all the antics going on that weekend. So bring cams, record a lot of shit, and send us the tapes. emoji

I will have my digi cam with me shooting short mpegs of stupidty and my digital vid cam to shoot racing/more stupidity. Might even bring along my other regular video camera...
