Okay people....first of all...the Shootout was awesome...had a great time. It was awesome meeting some new people, aong with seeing the other I have already met once before.

From here, we head to Norwalk...rolling deep...13 or 14 crs I believe with us, not including other we "didnt know" that joined off the highway. (Thats me in the middle and Whodatt in the black car on the right)


We arrive at bestwestern....some cars are there....parking lot is filling. The streets are full of cars. no matter where you at, in thebackground you will be hearing blow off valves goin off or cars ripping down the strip. I think saw maybe one cop the entire time...very cool.

-Met the guy that did the first ever 6Bolt swap into a 2G (or so he claims)

-Checked out engine bays...

-Met Bill Hahn.... exactly as you'd think, very smart and extremely nice.

-Met Mr.Blunt -- he's kickass

That night (Friday) we went to the track...2GNTers were running for the 200 bucks, fastest Turbo 420A get it. Lots of guys had trouble lauching - Mr.Blunt would take the price running a 13.7. nice

Bill Hahn ran Friday in the RS - I dont have that video but others do. He an a 12.5 -- was an AWESOME run until 3rd gear...some popping issued -- I talked to him later about it - Apprantly the nitrous pressure was 800psi instead of 900psi.... yea dont we hate when that happens....lol Still...the cars rocks and sounds incredible. The engine bay just looks badass.



On Saturday we pretty much all just hung out. Everyone did their own thing....lots of wrenching as you saw in the other pics posted. I didn't get many pics that day... was adjusting my BOV..and roaming around.

Sunday was as expected... we left Bestwestern early -- (Whch wasnt asy after the drinkig that took place Sat. night) Nucknutty made me a double shot of rum....so I took it.... later to find out it was actually a blend of 4 100 proof drink....SoCo...Rim..Vodka...I dont even know what else..

Eralier on Saturday we went to Buschers shop, out about 10 min from Norwalk.

Most of that night was spent in the parking lot, talking to people...meeting people...etc... Gosh so many inside jokes.

More cliff notes:

-The 2GNT Non-Turbo record is now a 15 Flat. A guy named Daniel_2GNT I believe ran it. Ive got his car on tape and video of me with the timeslip in my hand... impressive...14's soon Im sure- he is waiting on a new, more aggressive ECU.

-Thura had problems during his 6th pass at WOT in 3rd gear....car just stopped making power. Brought it to the HRC Spot and Bill and everyone was glad to help. not sure what the exact issue was....but something wasn't right..you can hear the knocking...

-ETX snapped an axel roughly 30 min later...

The decision was made to trailer Thuras car to HRC's shop via the HRC trailer, and have Adam Hahn (Bill's son) drive the RS back. This way ETX could snag an axel from Thura's car.

Yeah, It was a blast. Friday night my eclipse caught fire, But it wasn't too bad. I had to replace the Alternator and some wiring. So I didn't get to run on friday night for the heads up. Thanks to Thura I made it home Sunday night, he let me take his half shaft and throw it in my car. Looks like it's time for some stage 5 axles/hubs.

The Dick n' Balls drawn on my face friday night was not cool.

wheeeeeew, the shootout was a blast. lots of stuff going on. i just got home, im tired.

it was awesome seeing the familiar faces, and meeting the new ones. lots of inside jokes and whatnot, very funny. holy cow late-night saturday got a little crazy around 2 am haha.

meeting bill hahn was awesome. he is definately a really great guy, down to earth, and very personable. we sat and just talked for a good hour at ponderosa haha. im glad he made it. that alone made the trip worthwhile.

Holy shit. That was the BEST shootout so far! It really is hard to tell everyone that didn't go, how cool it was, and what all went on. It's just something you have to experience for yourself. Drunken mayhem at 3 in the morning outside the hotel, cars breaking, racing, chicks, beer, beer, beer, beer, beer, and more beer, fast cars, DSM caravans, meeting new 2GNT'ers , meeting/drinking/hanging out with Bill Hahn and Adam Hahn, shit, just too much to tell

The shootout is just not some people getting together watching some cars race. Its an awsome experience to remember for a lifetime.

Oh, and just as info, I need ALL kinds of VIDEO AND STILL PICS!!! I'll have to figure out how to get all the good footage, so I can get everything together to start the long painstaking task of making this Shootout Video..All I can say is, damn, there is some very blackmail potential videos out there hahah..

It was great to meet/see all the 2GNT people out there this year. Everyone last one of you is just cool as hell. See you fockers next year!

Shootout was awesome even though my car couldnt make it. Ashlee was a hottie and Ryan could have got a kiss from her if would have arm wrestled sliverNT at the A/C but he knew he would lose so..

It was fun meeting everyone and watchin 420A guys mess up their launches which I know looks harder than it looks. Soul Controller though ran the best HRC time with 13.7sec 1/4 mile time.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

Ran once at the track.

14.9 @ 103 (2.9 60'). Went into the staging and didn't launch at all, and still managed to bog horrifically. Trap was ok though for 15 PSI I guess, but I'll be the first to admit that at this point, I am a shitty driver. It's all my fault and not the car. Jordan has a video of some around town driving I am hoping he will get up soon.

I ran it once, then it overheated, so I didn't want to risk it again, but since another guy broke down in our return caravan, I trailered his car to Syracuse and he drove mine the 360 miles back to NY. It also overheated badly on the highway again (in construction traffic) but made it home famously once we topped off the coolant and ran the heat.

Again, car runs great. I suck at driving it.

Also of note, when the car got to Ohio, the engine had 17 miles on it. By Sunday morning it had 100, and now it has just over 500. It runs fantastic, but I need to learn how to drive it on the track all over again.

This weekend I'll get some in car footage as much as I can as I have a little maintenance to do on it, then I'll go out and tune it for about 23-24 PSI on pump gas. It was tuned perfectly for 15 PSI so I left it alone for Ohio driving. I'll update the situation as more people have Q's.

Short version: I suck at driving the car.

It's running again shitheads.

i have all kinds of questions, i just dont know what they are. your car is freakin sweet. you have motivated me to fix my car within the next two weeks or so. well that and my mom wants it out of the garage because it has been sitting there for like 6 months. how long does it take dry rot to set in on tires? LOL. someone get those vids up so we can see the run and relive the exhileration.
