SO basically, you have about 7.5 months to get "the pink" done so you can come to the shootout and show it off to everyone from the board.

Bucknutty, newports news is full of hot spots..im sure there are a few others that can point you in the right direction. I used to live in va beach before i moved up to the mountains.

As for the shootout, maybe we can all set up a place to meet so we can head up there together. I might have a few locals heading up there, so the more the better. Anyone around here have their rooms yet? I just dont know where/how to get that situated. Let me know what you all think

I have done the MachV caravan for the past 2 years. They are a cool buncha people. If anyone else wants to cruise with them, then I will most likely caravan with them again. Thats of course, if I dont head up there on a Thurs. I am getting old ya know and cant drive ALL day and party all night

I am down for the mach V caravan...although...i might jus head out on my own...since 3 hours of driving alone seems like eternity IMO

I'm in MD. I'd love to go but it depends on school situation because I plan on taking summer classes BUT there are no friday classes so I could leave thurs after class and take off work thurs and friday and be back sunday night for my class monday morning. About how long of a drive is it from the Washington DC area you guys think? I doubt Ill still have my 2gnt then but I still would love to go if I can.

I've heard anywhere from 6-8 hours depending on traffic from the DC area. Not terrible by any stretch especially since you are in a DSM caravan and you have the two way walkies to keep you occupied. It's cake. Go for sure, and who needs to go to EVERY class anyway? I'm sure you could miss one, right?

hell yeah dude...go IMO...gonna be a big turnout and there will be a few party spots IMO...only good thing that weekend is the shootout, besides that there is some lil junior racing day or some ish...so methinks bar hopping and cheeling are gonna be a must

I'm DEFINITLY up for the Mach V caravan (just dont make fun of my colt, k? lol) when does it leave? thats all i need to know...

P.S. hopefully i'll have my motor swap done by then, that way i might run it...

Got a 90 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T on hold at the junkyard for transplant into my colt, hehehe...

I'm in VA Beach and I'll definitly be going. I recently moved here from OH, I used to live about thiry minutes from norwalk. I've also made the trip from here to Cleveland and back about a hundred times, I average about 9 hours from here to there, did it in 8 once. if anyone here wants shortcuts let me know I'll be glad to help out with some info.
Also, if anyone wants to caravan from the tidewater area, let me know. maybe we can get enough people from around here to get a caravan together, who knows, just a thought.

Mach V is in Falls Church VA about 30-40 min from D.C. it is in Northern VA about 30 minutes from the border of Maryland. The shop is in the middle of the city and is confusing to get to.. it's not a big shop.

how about a hampton roads caravan? I'm considering setting up a tech session a few days before I leave, if there is any interest. basically some sort of event where local fellow 2gnt'ers can get together and check out their rides and make sure that they are going to make the trip ok, and most of all to meet other 2gnt'ers. if anyone is interested let me know, either send me an IM, E-mail or just post on this thread, I'll be checking this thread from time to time. cheers
