My supervisor has me covering another dept cause the guy who ran it quit. Until I get someone trained I can't take any time off. It usually takes 2 weeks but they have to hire someone. She said the position "should be" filled by Monday but that still cuts me short.
I was really looking forward to seeing some new faces and old friends. Not to mention putting the smack down on some 5-speeds. Fucking car is running good too.

Can't you just tell your boss this has been a planned vacation for over a year. I mean it sucks they had someone quit, but that's some serious grabage (misspelled intentionally).

it WAS planned OVER a year in advance. I'll see what I can do but it doesn't look good. It would really suck if I was only able to drive out, spend 1 day and drive home.
