I've robbed Peter to pay Paul, I've lowballed everything I can on my budget for this month and next and it looks like I will have about -$265 to get this all done in time. I don't know what to do now. Sadly, the SO is the only thing that's been keeping me sane the past few weeks and now it's going to take a miracle to get me there...

Yes. That is the plan, but it's hard to install parts you don't have. It's down to parts or Shootout. If I get the stuff above, then I stand a pretty good chance of becoming stranded somewhere in the midwest with no gas or food as a result. It sucks...

I wasn't implying we'd pay for you, but I was saying we could all brainstorm ways to get creative to get your car running. No matter what, you have to go though. Ride with someone, take a bus, something. DO NOT miss the Shootout.
Exactly what needs to get done for you to get to Ohio? Can you ride with some of the CA guys comng through your neck of the woods? Are there other AZ guys going who will let you ride with them?

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related. Step 1: Put down everything in your hands. Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it. Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you. I'm the only AZ guy going at this point. turbo8u and Skrilla are going to roll through on their way and I'm still planning on busting my ass to roll. 3 guys in a DSM for 3 days each way is not gonna happen. I need to get the belts, plugs, and oil changed before I can go. I'd just leave the rings alone, but I eyeballed the gaps last summer when I built the engine (stfu everyone - I've said this before) and I pull down stock comp numbers with Wiseco 10.5:1 slugs. I need to redo the rings and I plan on doing the Total Seals. Makes sense to do them when the head is off and the engine is coming out to be repainted/the bay to be cleaned up. I've cut the new windshield, brake job, rear discs, and all sorts of other things out of the budget in trying to make this happen, but it's gonna be tight at best imo.

1. Fuck the Total Seals imo. I went a year with sloppy rings, I'll go another couple months. Besides, I hear they're not a good idea with boost anyways. Savings: $140+
2. Pick up a 2GNTer in Wichita area who's willing to ride along and pay half gas and room from there on out. Cuts my gas bill by 25% and my room bill by 50%. Savings: $75 gas, $135 room
3. Sell plasma. Additional income: $75 first donation, $50 the second, $125 total. Bonus! Being the only person to actually pay for parts of your trip in blood.
4. Sperm bank? LOL
