this is just not going well... first they sent me the WRONG trans, then they finally got me the right trans, i pull it appart to put in the phantom grip, and the small diff pin is broken and the huge steel pin is WARPED.... the trans smells like the worst shit on earth.... 80/90 weight.. which is supposedly too thick for the trans, and which might lead me to belive that it didnt lube enough and it heated up everything in the trans, i got my old diff back from the trans shop and everything fine and ive got 90 days to see how good this trans is, but im not really sure if its a good idea to even put in, but ive been without a car for far too long and i need to get her back on the road... what does everyone think about this trans after having 80/90 in it....

If your diff is all screwed up get a new diff! As for the 90 wieght ... I ran that for a while by mistake. I just drained that out and put in the NVT-350 made tranny fluid and it made it much better. Just be nice while it lubricates everything. Don't stress out the trans too much. Also you may want to flush it again after a while and put new NVT-350 tranny fluid back in just to make sure you get all the 90 wieght out.

well, most oil doesn't smell bad. The only gear lube that I have come across that smells absolutely TERRIBLE is the NVG-T350 fluid. How do you know that there was a heavy weight oil in there? All I can recommend is taking the guts out of the case, and giving them all a thorough cleaning with Brake cleaner, and bolting it all back together nice and tight. -=B-=
Dude, Boeing called. They want their wing back.
