I cant seem to get this bearing out. I removed the snap ring and now cant seem to get this to come out. Please advise.

Since this picture was taken I remove the center black plastic cap. I still dont see a way of grabbing this bearing to pull it out.

you need to press the two shafts out at the same time. A hydraulic press works well and is how the FSM instructs to remove them. They are not meant to just fall out.

That sounds like a pain. Hmm.. I wish I had a manual on this transmission. Before I can press the shafts out wont I need to undo the little hex or whatever it is that is holding the shift fork in place and remove the gears?

for the neon, but overall, the same FSM http://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/neonfsm/2000/EPL_21.pdf

This FSM also includes the auto trans. Only the first 53 pages are for the 5spd.

your dilemma is explained starting on page 21.

You have to remove the reverse gear fork and the reverse gear and shaft.

You then press the shafts out of the caseand remove them as a whole
