Hey guys. Recently removed the tranny to replace the Speedo gear on the differential. Reassembled both halves of the tranny and everything seemed to go back together fairly smoothly. Nothing really seemed like it was out of place when I put the tranny back together however there was 1 black plastic washer about 1" in diameter that I was not sure where it went. I placed it on the only shaft it would fit on. Finished reinstalling the tranny into the car this weekend but found that when I tried moving the shifter it would not budge. Seems to be stuck. Removed the cables from the tranny and the shifter moved fine. Tried moving the linkages on the tranny but neither will move by hand. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have to start taking everything apart again to solve this. Thx

Yeap. When you reassembled the trans, you bound up the shift rails on the brass bushing in the clutch housing side of the trans. Pull it back apart.
If you mangled the bushing, I think I have a spare four or five in my toolbox i can send your way.

Uh huh. And as for the black "washer" read through this link and you will see (gotta love the wiki);

Perfect. Ended up being just that. The one in the center of the 3 Shifter shaft busings was mangled. Ended up running out and picking one up from the local dealership. Thanks for the help guys!
