this might be a dumb question, but where is the neutral safety switch located on the tranny and how hard is it to get to. before i spun another bearing shortly after my rebuild, the car will sit and click, but will not turn over. i would try this for about anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes and usually it will start up eventually. any ideas? would the be the NSS? or something else?

The neutral safety switch is attached to the clutch pedal. It doesn't check to see if the car is in neutral, just that the clutch is depressed when you are starting the car.
I don't have one though since I converted the car from auto to manual. I believe to test it you can either unplug the switch or unplug it and jump the two wires off with a piece of insulated wire, for testing purposes only of course.
