I need to replace my clutch and using the search i noticed I can use a PT CRUISER clutch what parts do i need in order to do this and how do I do it. This is my first clutch install and I am kinda nervous but figure if it is easy enough I would do the PT cruiser clutch instead of the regular one. Any comments are appreciated ...
P.S. - My friend is helping me install the clutch and when he saw that my clutch is modular he looked at it funny is installation the same for a modular than a non modular.

modular means your whole clutch and flywheel are one big piece that's riveted together and then you bolt that to a flexplate like an automatic, pretty simple, no aligning. if the pt clutch is non-modular then you'll need a flywheel as well as the clutch. also you need something to hold the engine up as the only mount directly on the engine is the passenger side mount.

Pretty much what he said.
Once you have access to the clutch, a modular clutch assembly is easier to change out than a headlight. You can probably replace it faster than you can dump the change out of your ashtray. Grab the old one, pull it back, take the new one, set it in place. Done.
Be sure to get a new throw out bearing. If you lose the retainer clip that holds it to the clutch fork, no worries. I haven't had that clip in years and it works fine. Chatters a bit at idle in neutral, but otherwise you don't even notice.
I had the PTCruiser clutch at one time. When you order it (shope local parts houses as well as satan to see what price you can find as it can vary), you want to be sure you're asking for the clutch from the non-turbo PTC and that it's modular. If you've already got your stocker off to take with you for a quick comparo at the counter, you score.
Good luck. It's not a bad clutch. I want to say I remember it being just a bit grabbier off the line in day-to-day, but I haven't driven one in close to three years, now.
