well i just got done puttin on my head, and the thing runs fine, so i went to drive it, put it in reverse to back up a little, then went to go forward, and it wouldnt get out of reverse, then it stalled. so i put it in neutral while off, started it up, then put it into first, wouldnt go, then it stalled again. i checked the fluid, there wasnt any, so i filled it up with brake fluid, then it was working fine, drove it around the block, and when i got home, same thing, wouldnt get out of gear, so i looked underneath, and i could see fluid dripping onto the crossmember towards the back side. i got under there, checked around, all i could find was a lose bolt on the oil pan side of the tranny, so i tighten it up, but its still leaking, but not as bad. i checked that boot looking like thingy on the driver side, but it was dry as a bone, in fact, that whole side of the tranny, facing the driver wheel is completely dry. it was weird tho, it looked as tho there was some fluid on the bottom of my intake runners. any ideas anyone?

Your leaking from the hydraulic system for the clutch. Niot the trans and not the motor. Fill it bleed it and check again for leaks

make sure you bleeder valve is closed all the way on your slave clyinder, and the copper washers are stil there....

me and my dad figured it out, it was the bolt on the slave cylinder that was lose, it was dripping onto the slope of the crossmember and sliding down to the back part of it, thats why i thought it was coming from the back of the tranny. we tightened it back up, bled the system, runs fine now, sorry for the waste of space

I had a issues with this a few weeks ago. I was driving home and my clutch was engaging lower and lower. When i got home my clutch fluid was empty.
It turned out to be the banjo bolt on the slave cylinder. I replaced the two washers and now its fine
