I am purchasing a 95 Eclipse RS with the 420a engine in it. It needs a new tranny 5spd.--What should I look for? I know a little under the hood--but not a lot, so bare with me. What kind or model # is compatible with it? I'm going to a salvage yard to get one and want to make sure I am getting the right stuff. Please help! hehe

transmission = NV-T350 anything else its your ass

go to junk yard
pull tranny from any 95-99
inspect
bring home
install new Throw out bearing
install new axle seals
put on clutch
install
fill with factory NV-T350 fluid
drive

as long as your car was a 5 spd to begin with the transmission comes out in a lump and its just a "pull one replace with another" kind of job
