Besides looking at it! Sometimes I have a slight grinding noise that I can feel in the clutch. But it only does this in first starting from a stop. Any other ideas?

A rumbling sound when working the clutch, or a rumbling feeling when you work the clutch usually indicates a problem with the throw out bearing. What you escribed could very well be the throwout bearing going bad.

Yeah, it only happens starting from a stop in first. Every other shift is fine. That's the only thing I can think it would be.
