When I downshift into third, she'll just sit there and grind and not want to shift into third. I have to basically jam it into gear. I have a B&M SS with a Symborski Shift kit, and I installed it about 3 mos ago, and have not had any problems till now. When I first bought the car, third was always a little rough getting into gear even with the stock shifter, but it hasn't been this bad till now. Any ideas?

Synchro is bad and jamming it into gear is doing 3 times more damage. Each time you do it, you get 3 times closer to a new trans.

I had to replace the trans. I stopped trying to get it in third, and I was gonna look at it that weekend, so I just skipped third for the time being. Then fifth went. Damn. And that took my clutch along with it.

Bought a used tranny from Pennsylvania for $450, waited a couple days for it to arrive, bought a stock modular clutch, rear main seal, axle seals, and the all important $13 a quart transaxle fluid from Mopar.

Tore her down, replaced the rear main, which was leaking, and installed the clutch and tranny. Damn I hated the tranny mount. Went ahead and installed my UDP as well. Filled her full of fluid and I was off. Got lucky with this trans. It shifts perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

Something definetly went wrong in the old NV-T350, I drained the fluid out of it, and it was pitch dark. I will tear it apart later to see what went wrong.

Trans fluid is dark from the synchro material. I'll give you 75.00 shipped for the bellhousing if its good. I need one.
