alright, i have a 98 eclipse RS ( yeah i knoe, it was my bro's), but anyway i was reading about how to take the cluth restrictor plate out or whatever u call it. I was wondering if that was a good idea and will it give me any problems later. I hate it when my gears wont engage, so yeah. Any opinions would help. Thanks

Removing the restrictor is not gonna help you engage gears any better if they are having a problem in engaging. Its gonna help you engage them faster.

If it isnt going into gear at all first thing i would look at would be bleeding the clutch first. Really removing that restrictor isnt necessarily a fix for anything just kinda an improvement. If i am understanding what you said correctly.

*98 eclipse rs
*2005 srt4 (screw the warranty let the modifications begin)

its not the fact of it not going into gear all the time, but when i wanna mess around and race with my friend its hard to engage into second, basically it isnt a smooth quick shift. Any suggestions?

just slam the shifter harder! lol jk

big-block Chevys to boosted DSM's; hey if it goes fast, and sounds good, that is all that really matters.
