i just realized we have a section here for our transmissions, i wrote a post under the general performance section about an issue im having with mine, thing is im not sure if its the tranny or the axle, or what. basically im getting a little play in the drive train before it actually catches but its not like a slip. i searched this forum for similar problems but didnt see what i was looking for. what should i check? how do i know what to repair? i also noticed i get a slight wine noise if im in neutral and push the clutch in and release it but its not loud like tob noise????? i know nothing about transmissions so forgive my ignorance, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks joe

I'm confused. What exactly is the problem again?

there is play somewhere in my drive train, not sure if its in the tranny or if it could be the axle or what? you know how you have a friction point on your clutch and it dont catch until you hit that point well its kinda like the friction point is reached but the tranny still doesnt catch for a second and i get a little play and than it catches. if this is a stupid question nevermind, i just know something has worn out and its hard to explain it but basically when i reach my friction point on my clutch the point where the gear should enguage it doesnt right away its like it does but theres a little slop than it goes like maybe 1/8 turn of slop make any sense?
