Hi, i bought my 98 eclipse GS, its got almost 80k on it. When i first start it, it hesitates, almost dies, when i lower the clutch in first gear any lower than 2.5k rpm, 2k is pushin it but i can get it sometimes... i havent noticed it doing it after its been driven for a while, and ive had friends drive it they say it drives great... ive also had people say its more than likely my driving style and i need to learn how to drive before i ruin my clutch...
im wondering if anyone else has this problem?
also ive been reading the forums on the shifting after 6k... my car seems hard to pull into gear at high RPM's as well, and when im putting the car into first i think its hard to get in, others say its fine... im installing my short shifter soon, ill see what its like after that...

Sounds to me like you might need a new clutch at least (salty) if it's hard to shift into gear at higher rpm's. Start small and work your way up, go and get your fluid changed. Good luck w/ the car.

Worn synchronizer stop rings.
