I've noticed this for a little bit now, but when my car is idiling I hear this weird grinding / knocking sound from the transmission. But if I rev the motor it goes away almost completely. Also if I'm sitting in the car I can hear it, then I push in the clutch, and the noise goes away till I let the clutch out, then it comes back. Anyone think my TOB is shot, or is it something else?

It is your TOB but it may not be shot. This is a common problem with our cars. I know of at least a dozen people who have the same issue. If you fell like pulling the trans, then you could try a new one. I know some guy'as that have this even with a new TOB though.

my car is the opposite when I rev it up to 2 1/2rpms it makes a grinding noise to. I plan on rebuilding the tranny my self.
