I just swapped my crappy broken tranny for a Neon tranny, and now it won't shift right. It will shift and drive but the shifter just dosen't feel right. It's really stiff shifting especially in 1st and 2nd gear. When I swapped the bell housing one of those little brass bushings in the bell housing on the end of the gears was a little out of round but I was able to straighten it out (sort of). Could that cause the shifting to be stiff? If so where can I get some new bushings? What else could it be? Help!! emoji

Thanks! Anyone have a part # for the bushing? Also what is the bushing called specifically. I know quite a bit about engines but I know little to nothing about trannys. I have learned a lot recently though. emoji

See the blue menu bar? Click on CAPS. Click on the MTX section. Click on any PNC (set of numbers next to a part), and it looks up the part number. Any (mitsu)dealer can order that part number, but try http://www.worldparts.com/tallmits if you want to get a quote and order it online.
