im really not trying to swap the guts out of a tranny and i need a new tranny now, i want to use the neon trans, from what i understand is that with a new neon tranny 01-03 you dont have to switch the guts out of it that the bell housing and everything will hook up fine...am i wrong???

it's not. 01 to 03 use a hydralic clutch system just like us, and it bolts right up.

Sorry if I am kinda stealing the thread, but I want to also ask one question (maybe it's useful for you as well donnyb373)

when you guys say 2001-03 Neon Tranny. is it any type of NEON? or only SRT4 or other model?

BTW, only work for Manual? or both Auto and Manual can bolt right now? (even thou I have manual maybe someone later on will need to konw this)

Thanks guys!
Good to know, so when my tranny goes, I can get a 2003 Tranny!

Edit: one last question, so it's direct bolt on, but is all gear ratio the same as well? perform the same? same quality?
Thanks guys.

I don't know why i'm replying here because i don't think you can really read or comprehend anything, but the transaxles we're referring to are 2001 to 2003 NON SRT4 NEON MANUAL transaxles. The automatics are all the same and all suck equally well. No, the gear ratios are not the same across the board, and that is the point.
