So Im putting my Southbend clutcc in, no big deal, till its time to put the tranny back in.

Has anybody found that nitch to getting it right in? It looks like the back has to go in first.

Any more suggestion than just fight with it like I found while I was searching?

the diff needs to go up and in first then raise the bellhousing. if you try to raise straight up the diff area hit the crossmember. Other than that you may need to pull the motor towards the front of the car or push it back to line it up. I found the EGR tube makes a nice handle...lol

Quoted.

Also, if you have a friend helping you to manhandle it into place, be careful where you have your hands when he moves it on you. Nothing like having a tranny fall off the jack on the back, pinning your hand up against the chassis. (Although lowering the engine onto your hand resting on the base of the windshield is similar. Just less piercing imo.) emoji
